Password for Large Groups: Rotate Clue-Givers and Keep Every Table Playing

Keep every physical table active with private cards, a visible speaking order and a four-person role rotation. Twelve practice words accompany the script and chart.

Playable words and hosting plan

Every table gets a turn

For 24 people, use six tables of four; for 60, use 15 tables of four. Each table has two pairs. This is a physical paper plan, not a promise of software live-room capacity. Give each table its own shuffled copy of the twelve-card set and a private host key for its facilitator.

Host script: “Guessers, look away while both clue-givers read the same secret card. Table captain, start Team A. One clue, one guess; then alternate. Stop after four attempts if still unsolved. Keep completed cards face down.”

Simultaneous paper rounds and privacy

Tables can start together with different shuffled order. A facilitator distributes one card only to clue-givers; use a folded copy or a private device without projecting the key. Stop at the same external ten-minute deadline, finish the current word, and compare one-point paper scores. Rotate who facilitates at the next activity. Do not compare scores if tables used different pass limits or numbers of cards.

Helpers are additional to the attendee counts above. If no non-playing facilitator is available, keep all host keys with the central host, give each table only folded secret cards, and let the two current clue-givers check that word. Never give a future guesser the full answer key; send disputed answers to the host after the round.

12 words and optional legal clues

This is the private host planning table. Keep it off the guessers’ display; the answer-free player clue cards in the general picker are for prepared-clue play.
