Ready-to-play host kit

Make Your Own Password Game: From a Word List to a Hosted Round

Build a real six-word practice game from a copied list, then preview the answer display privately. The steps distinguish Classic word entry from prepared-clue Host Mode.

Playable words and hosting plan

Build a six-word practice game

  1. Choose 6–10 familiar words. The sample here has six complete legal pairs. For a longer selection, use /examples, choose a category, shuffle and copy the secret words.
  2. Open /create and sign in. Name your game and choose Classic Password for player-given clues, or Host Mode for prepared clues.
  3. At Step 3, paste a newline-separated word list into the first Password field for Classic. For Host Mode, enter each prepared clue and its matching password in the corresponding fields.
  4. There is no automatic blog import. Review every card, word spelling and clue manually before saving.
  5. Preview privately; compare password visibility with the host key. Guessers should see a clue, not the secret answer.
  6. Open the host flow, prepare a shared player-facing screen, and check current plan/device limits before inviting players. Rotate the giver/guesser pair after each word.

Copy only what the mode needs

Classic players make up their own clues; the example hint is optional host preparation. Host Mode uses a prepared clue with its answer. A card containing the word is for a clue-giver, never for the shared guesser view.

6 words and optional legal clues

This is the private host planning table. Keep it off the guessers’ display; the answer-free player clue cards in the general picker are for prepared-clue play.
